Appreciated. Unfortunately it’s ugly af. Instead of making it more professional looking and simplifying it, they made it look more like for kids unnecessarily complicated. Everything looks like a jolly ranchers lol. Brutal.

That’s 100 MB increase for what appears to be kiddies bubblegum optics.
Can anyone recommend an alternative? I just want the basic dependable cleaning functions.
for just cleaning, you can write a bash script and run it with sudo via Terminal
typical stuff to clean is simply those system and user level cache, log, diagnostics files if you don’t need to keep them. if you don’t know where are those locations, ask chatGPT or Claude, they will write you a functional script and you can decide which part to keep to run based on your need.
CleanMyMac is helpful on other stuff like uninstalling app (which helps to delete associated library files) and find duplicate files or other tasks.
ok but why would anyone need these colorful animations making a mess in their eyes? in addition, some standard enabled cleansing options erased half of my disk from files that in his opinion were repeatedly the same, and it was not his business, because I have a lot of graphics named identically but used for something completely different, many files identical but nevertheless different and I did not want to delete them, and he just cleaned it for me and they disappeared, luckily I had a backup, because I would probably commit suicide, 10 years of work all through this broken new program to the garbage went …. shame on the words, good thing I don’t pay for it anymore or I would have sued them.
